Your Best XI
Who would you go with if you had full fit squad

My choice:
Adrian

Tomkins Reid Ogbonna Cresswell

Kouyate Song

Antonio Payet Lanzini

Sakho

Bench: Randolph, Moses, Collins, Carroll, Obiang, Jenkinson, Noble

Cant even place Jelavic, Oxford or Cullen on the bench!

Re: Your Best XI
I loved Kouyate's cameo roles in defence last season. 4-2-3-1, but I'd be asking Payet to justify the role with plenty of hard work.

Adrian
Jenkinson - Tomkins - Kouyate - Cresswell
Obiang - Song
Moses - Payet - Antonio
Carroll

Kouyate centre back, jesus wept.

Now Song could play there. Infact Song as Libero could be immense.

Re: Your Best XI
The best 11 is the team that started the Liverpool game, they should be the ones that start v Newcastle and keep their places as long as they play to the same standard.

People have put in Antonio based on? A few you tube clips?

Teams should be picked on form

Could work. A couple of times Allardyce played Diarra very deep, similar idea to yours. If we'd have kept on with Collins it would have been nice insurance for those moments of his.

the Bards team is a stupid as Alex V's

Thankfully we won't be seeing those

Roe

didn't you say that the formation for the home games doesn't work and needs to change?

surely that would mean a change in players to fill the roles needed?

The formation he played at home didn't work and it wouldn't have away at Liverpool either.

That's why he changed it

The formation at Liverpool translates to one that can be effective at home.

If we are struggling to break them down and Newcastle sit deep then we have plenty on the bench to change it around.

Re: Your Best XI
The team shouldn't be picked based on form alone, but also depending on the opposition, how a player performs in training, if better players become available after injury or suspension...

Case in point, in the play off final BFS decided to stick with the team who got us there, despite the fact that anyone with an ounce of sense could tell that ince was going to tear Matty Taylor a new arsehole if he was played at left back instead of McCartney. We were lucky that serious damage wasn't done before BFS finally saw sense and brought McCartney on as a sub. Could have cost us the game.
